I am a wife and the mother of two. I am an animal lover who owns a Mini Australian Shepherd (although given the chance I would have at least three more). I’ve also been known to have a variety of small animals though none currently reside in my house.

I learned the basics (chain, single, and double stitches) of crochet when I was 5. From there I used books (it was long before the creation of YouTube) to teach myself how to do the fancier more advanced stitches.
When my daughter was a year old I saw a pattern for a beautiful dress I wanted to make her. The downside at the time was it was knit. The logical solution for me…learn how to knit. I bought a “How to Knit” kit and took a weekend to teach myself.
I had toyed with the notion of writing my own crochet patterns for years. I played with writing a few out just for my own use. Then my son was born I wanted to make a new set of Christmas stockings. That sent me here, to Ravelry, to find the perfect knit pattern. I couldn’t find exactly what I had in mind. I played with different designs, looks, and techniques for heels and toes (so many to choose from). Then when I was satisfied with the final outcome, I stepped out of my comfort zone and shared my creation on a Facebook group for knitters and crocheters. The post lit up with people asking where to get the pattern. I wrote the pattern, made the chart (which I admit had some errors) and took that step at making it available on this site. Since then, I have created more knit as well as crochet patterns that you can find in my store.
